Epidemiologist II

Professional Summary

Uei joined the Sinai Urban Health Institute (SUHI) in March 2019 as an Epidemiologist II and Research Manager for various projects, including Primary Prevention of Lead Poisoning, Diabetes Prevention Program, and Community Health Worker Intervention in the Emergency Department.

Before coming to SUHI, Uei worked in the fields of healthcare and public health preparedness at various institutions, including Loyola University Medical Center, Cook County, City of Chicago, Weld County, Colorado, and Multnomah County, Oregon. He served as a contractor with the Department of Homeland Security in Biosurveillance in Washington D.C, and also has extensive backgrounds in emergency medical services and search and rescue.

Uei has interests in leveraging predictive analytics techniques and data visualization to build health and clinical decision support tools and other cross-discipline applications of methods.
