Jonathan Bean
MD

Dr. Bean is a trauma surgeon at Mount Sinai Hospital and is board-certified in both general surgery and surgical critical care by the American Board of Surgery. Dr. Bean completed his general surgery residency at the University of Illinois College of Medicine, fellowship in surgical critical care at the McGaw Medical Center of Northwestern University, and a surgical research fellowship at Ann & Robert H. Lurie Children’s Hospital of Chicago. His practice includes trauma surgery, surgical critical care, and general surgery. He is an active member of the American College of Surgeons, the Eastern Association for the Surgery of Trauma, and the Society of Critical Care Medicine. Dr. Bean is a clinical assistant professor of surgery at the University of Illinois College of Medicine. His academic and research interests are in trauma surgery, critical care for the surgical patient, ARDS, critical care ultrasonography, and transfusion medicine.
