Award - SUHI Fellow, Dr. Fernando De Maio awarded the Dr. Steve Whitman Research Award (September 27, 2019)

SUHI Fellow, Dr. Fernando De Maio, was recently awarded the Dr. Steve Whitman Research Award from the Health & Medicine Policy Research Group. This award represents Chicago-area leaders whose work exemplifies Health & Medicine’s mission to promote social justice and challenge inequities in health and health care.

The winners will be honored at Health & Medicine’s Awards Gala on Sept. 27, 2019 at the Chicago Cultural Center. SUHI is proud to have Fernando as one of the first SUHI Fellows to help continue doing the work Steve started.

 

Upcoming Event Film "COOKED" (July 12 - 25, 2019)

A new film about the deadly July 1995 Chicago heat wave makes its Chicago premiere at the Gene Siskel Film Center July 12-25.
