Since 2005, Pam Khosla, MD, has served as an attending physician and section chief of hematology and oncology at Sinai Health System. She has been recognized by Chicago Magazine as one of Chicago’s top oncology physicians and has been instrumental in developing Sinai’s highly recognized oncology program, the Sinai Cancer Care Center. In addition to overseeing the Center, Dr. Khosla developed Sinai’s comprehensive breast cancer program and a Coleman Foundation-funded supportive oncology program. She has also been involved in extensive breast cancer research, and Sinai clinics devoted to cancer prevention, high-risk genetic testing, and survivorship.
As the Cancer Committee Chair, Dr. Khosla heads Sinai’s top-rated clinical trials program in oncology. In 2015, this program received a Clinical Trials Participation Award from the American Society of Clinical Oncology/Conquer Cancer Foundation. Additionally, the Sinai Cancer Program has achieved numerous recognitions such as certification from the Quality Oncology Program and accreditation from the Commission on Cancer.
Dr. Khosla is board-certified in medical oncology and hematology. Prior to joining Sinai, she was attending faculty at Rush University Medical Center, and held the rank of Assistant Professor of Medicine. She received her medical education, graduating with honors from the Government State Medical College of Punjabi University, Patiala. India. After immigrating to the US in 1990, she completed her residency in internal medicine at Finch University of Health Sciences (now known as the Rosalind Franklin University of Medicine and Science). She has completed fellowships at Tulane University and Ochsner Medical Institutions, both in New Orleans, as well as the University of Illinois/Michael Reese Medical Center in medical oncology, hematology and bone marrow transplantation. She has also served as a clinical instructor of hematology and oncology for the Bone Marrow Transplant Unit at the Tulane University Medical Center.
