Urinary Conditions
Benign Prostate Hyperplasia (BPH)
Our Urology department uses minimally invasive treatments, including the GreenLight
Laser System to treat benign prostate hyperplasia (BPH). This minimally invasive
procedure is done in about one hour on an outpatient basis. Clinical studies
have demonstrated that this treatment offers improved urine flow, excellent symptomatic
relief and minimal side effects when compared to traditional surgical treatment
Female Urology
Our urogynecology program combines the expertise of Mount Sinai urologists
and gynecologists to treat urinary disorders in women. Urogynecology includes
surgical and nonsurgical treatments for urinary incontinence, pelvic prolapse,
voiding dysfunctions, and other urinary disorders that affect women. Our comprehensive
program includes urodynamic studies that are used to tailor treatment for urinary
problems to each patient's needs.
