Psych Intervention
Mount Sinai Hospital provides 24-hour walk-in crisis intervention and psychiatric assessment in its Emergency Department, at California and Ogden avenues. Patients are screened by counselors who work with psychiatrists, and are given a complete psychiatric exam. Based upon the assessment, they are referred to an environment that is the least restrictive to them, ranging from outpatient care to crisis residence to inpatient care.
