Current Residents

Current residents benefit from a personalized program catered to their interests, with three choices of tracks and multiple electives available. The residents in the community medicine track focus on relevant issues like HIV, substance abuse counseling/cessation, or behavioral risk counseling. Those in the epidemiology/preventive medicine track can use the credits towards a Master’s in Public Health, either through attendance at the University of Michigan’s summer program or by taking classes at the University of Illinois School of Public Health. Other residents who have chosen the women’s health focus are able to acquire skills and knowledge focused on female health, including procedural skills like colposcopy, contraceptive technology, cancer detection and osteoporosis prevention.
