Podiatric Surgery Residency Program

Mount Sinai’s Podiatric Surgery Residency Program has been developed to provide a select group of qualified podiatric medical school graduates with the ability to provide high-quality surgical care and successfully complete the accreditation process established by the American Board of Podiatry Surgery.

Brief Overview of Program
As an inner-city Level One trauma center, Mount Sinai Hospital gives podiatric surgery residents immediate exposure to foot and ankle trauma rarely seen in literature. From severe diabetic food infections and all levels of amputation to abundant elective forefoot and rearfoot surgery, our program equips residents to emerge well-versed in all phases of podiatry. Newly affiliated with DVA – North Chicago in June 2011 and having merged with Great Lakes Navel Hospital as James A. Lovell Federal Health Care Center (JALFHCC), our Podiatric Surgery Residency Program teaches residents to provide high-quality podiatric surgical care.
