How to Apply
Thank you for your interest in the Pharmacy Residency Program at Mount Sinai Hospital. Our 12-month residency program offers four positions each year, beginning in June and receiving estimated stipends of $39,500.
How to Apply
Interested candidates must meet three requirements before submitting a pharmacy residency application:
- Graduate of ACPE-accredited Pharmacy school
- U.S. citizen or permanent resident status
- Eligible for licensure in the state of Illinois
A qualifying applicant may send an application, curriculum vitae and letter of intent to the Residency Program Director (RPD) at the address below. Each completed application packet must be received by January 15, 2011 in order to be considered. Applicants must also obtain three professional references, at least two of which are from clinical preceptors. References should be made aware of the deadline and return their references in sealed envelopes, with signatures across the back, unless you do not waive the right to review on the recommendation form.
All correspondence and completed forms should be sent to:
Karen E. Trenkler, PharmD, MS, BCPS
Pharmacy Residency Program Director, PGY1
Mount Sinai Hospital
California at 15th Street
Chicago, IL 60608
Applicants who submit the completed packets within the deadline will be screened to determine if they fit for the program. Factors for consideration include pharmacy-related experience (e.g., work, organizational experience and extracurricular projects/activities include community service and participation), strength of clinical rotations and GPA.
