 Schwab's very own Dr. Michelle Gittler and the Spinal Cord Injury Team are the proud recipients of the Kara Foundation Award
The Spinal Cord Injury Association of Illinois (SCIA) named the award in honor of the Kara Foundation, a private family foundation that has been a long time generous supporter of the SCIA.
The award was presented on Saturday, February 25th during the SCIA's annual benefit, Dinner with Friends. Jeanne Mervine accepted the award on behalf of Dr. Gittler and the Spinal Cord Injury Team.
Criterion for this award is that it be given to an organization that makes outstanding contributions for the betterment of individuals with spinal cord injuries. The SCIA choose Dr. Gittler and the
Spinal Cord Injury Team for their ability to compassionately provide excellent medical care while helping countless individuals go on to live full, rewarding lives following a spinal cord injury.
