Vocational Program
Schwab Rehabilitation Hospital care goes beyond physical and emotional health. Many of our patients have limited work experience and are unable to return to positions they held prior to acquiring their disability.
Schwab’s vocational program has recently expanded in order to better provide the vocational, computer and interpersonal skills necessary to enter the workforce. This is achieved through identification of career interests, group learning, case management, counseling and referrals to community-based educational programs. Clients are also linked to Schwab’s disability resource center and Community Technology Center.
This program allows participants the opportunity to pursue their job-related goals in a supportive and non-threatening environment and gives them the skills to enter the competitive job market.
This program is available to all Schwab patients who have a disability or newly injured, whether by accident, violence, or illness. Please call to make an appointment.
