Visitors are welcome during Mount Sinai Hospital visiting hours. Each visitor must stop by the Information Desk to receive a visitor pass, and that pass must be kept visible at all times; additionally, visitors must abide by hospital rules. Children must be at least 12 years of age to visit a patient floor. We also ask that patients be respectful of the comfort and privacy of roommates during patient visiting hours.

Mount Sinai Hospital Medical Units:

• Visiting hours are 8:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m.
• Two visitors at a time will be permitted.
• Hospice Inpatients: Twenty-four hours a day unlimited visiting privileges, unless otherwise limited by patients.

Mount Sinai Hospital Adult Critical Care Units

• Visitors are limited to 2 at a time and are usually limited to immediate family for patients who are critical in condition.
• No balloons or flowers are permitted.

SICU level II:
9:00am to 7:00pm

Cardiac Care Unit:
10:00am – 5:00pm

MICU:
10:00am – 5:00pm and 8:00 pm -10:00pm

Mother-Baby and Labor/Delivery/Recovery Unit

• In the Labor and Delivery Unit visitors will be restricted to two adults and the siblings of the new baby.
• Siblings and the significant other with a hospital issued identification band do not require a visitor’s pass.

Emergency Department:

• One visitor per patient will be allowed in the treatment area with the patient at the discretion of the nursing and physician personnel.
• All visitors must check with security prior to entering the patient care area.

Fast Track:

• Patient and visitor/relatives are allowed in the Fast track area at the discretion of the nursing and physician personnel.
