Perlman Gift Improves Essential Technology and Care for Sinai Patients

Chicago, 6/26/17        Sinai Health System is pleased to announce that is received a $1.1 MM gift from Ted and Harriette Perlman for upgrading Mount Sinai Hospital’s telemetry monitoring systems. Previously the Perlmans made a leadership gift of $1.2 MM that established the Perlman Transformation Fund.  During 2015 and 2016 their matching grant stimulated over $2 MM in additional gifts from other donors.  The balance enabled the purchase of critical pieces of new medical equipment.

The Perlmans' investment will allow Sinai to migrate all patient monitoring systems onto one telemetry monitoring platform and create two units fully capable of telemonitoring.  As patients increasingly require more intensive medical care, the telemetry monitoring system will add efficiencies, lower costs and improve patient quality and safety.
