It is with great pleasure that Sinai Health System announces that Lori Pacura will become Senior Vice President, Holy Cross Hospital, effective immediately.

Pacura joined Sinai Health System in 2001 and has held a progression of significant roles in the areas of clinical leadership, most recently as Vice President, Patient Care Services/Chief Nursing Officer. She played an important role in activities associated with Holy Cross Hospital’s affiliation with Sinai Health System, a transaction that was complete on January 16, 2013. A published author, as well as a national speaker on the topics of recruitment/retention and health partnership models, Pacura received her Master of Science in Nursing from Saint Xavier University and completed the Health Services Management Program through the Kellogg Graduate School of Management.

The Holy Cross Hospital affiliation with Sinai Health System enriches healthcare opportunities for communities on Chicago’s south and west sides. With the go-live installation of Meditech on March 5, Holy Cross Hospital’s health information technology was upgraded as was its electronic medical record capability. “This is very good for our patients and physicians.” said Kathy Loeb, Holy Cross Hospital Chief Nursing Officer. “Our healthcare professionals are able to more quickly get important information that affects patient care whether the patient was seen in his or her physician’s office or here at the hospital.” The affiliation has also made it possible for specialty and sub-specialty physicians, such as psychiatrists, who might not have been available in the community previously, to be more accessible.
